Hi. We too have stayed in a Wigwam there and if you around that area I would also reccomend Herding Hill Farm near Haltwhistle as it is a first class brand new site with a high quality toilet block that has a sauna and more. They also have wigwams with hot tubs. A great children's play area and great walks from the site and Hadrians wall is nearby.
your five year old will love Cream of Galloway just down the road. A large adventure park with lots of different things to do. At his age I would just look at booking the basic play as that gives you hrs outside and a fun indoor adventure area too.

PS you will love it there. We stopped there last August and the kids with us spent all their time on the little park and the tree swing. We enjoyed the views and fresh air and then there is loads to do locally too.
We love Solway View ... hope you do too. There's a lovely walk through the farm to an old graveyard and another down to a private beach.
Agree with the Cream of Galloway recommendation. Also try the Cocoa Bean Factory at Twynholm - excellent play area indoors and outdoors, reasonably priced eats and you can book to go and make chocolate goodies too!!
If you don't feel like cooking, pick up some pizzas from Tamburrini's in Kirkcudbright!!
