Don't think I really have a favorite place really. I like to see different places. However I do like Norfolk and really love Fforest fields in Wales. But one of the beauties of camping is we can go pretty much anywhere. Living in Yorkshire the are plenty of great sites, but I suppose you could say that about most counties. The way we do it is decide which neck of the woods we fancy, then Look around there.

Apart from a week at Fforest fields, and a few other long weekends, probably within 90 minutes drive, we are off to france in the summer. Last time we went to the Vendee and had a great time, this time its in the Dordogne.
You'll love it

Hi prettyboyfloyd - are you looking for Scottish campsites! There are loads of good ones! In dumfries we love loch ken because its right on the loch, nice laid back atmosphere and lots to do in the surrounding area. Would love to try solway firth which is a smaller site which allows fires.

Bit further north, we loved the c&CC site at luss, again right on the loch, stunning scenery and the owners are very friendly.

Even further north in Arisaig, we love Camusdarroch, not directly on the beach but accessible from the campsite and worth the shelter should the weather not be good. Amazing scenery, beaches are fantastic and a lovely quiet relaxed vibe.

We've got two children 6 and 9, and they loved all of these sites too.

Going to Brittany this year tho still deciding which site, happy camping!
