Hi everyone , I am planning on doing 5 nights camping in Scotland, and have always wanted to visit the famous whiskey trail, and other places like Inverness,Aviemore and Elgin to name a few. Can anyone recommend any sites within this area? Not worried about travelling a hour or so each way.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
The C&CC's speyside site (couple of miles from Craigellachie) is handy for several distilleries and also for the Cooperage Centre (on Dufftown road out of Craigellachie)

Hi. Will be camping
Granton is a lovely spot and more convenient for shopping and getting to Aviemore (which I loved as a kid but loathe now - still great scenery and things to do around it). The Speyside site has two distilleries within five miles and is not far from Elgin - if I remember correctly, travelling time to Inverness is almost the same as from Granton and you pass Culloden battlefield on the way in. Inverness Castle is not open to the public - it's the Sheriff Court, but if you get good weather take a trip to see dolphins (unless you're used to seeing them).
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
