As the season is starting up we're eager to get our trips planned for the year. Will visit our usual haunts but there are a few new places we would like to visit in our motorhome.

As we tend to park up and either use what god gave us i.e. legs, or public transport we're looking for sites that are within a mile of the place we'd like to visit or that have easily accessible transport links.

Really want to visit Harrogate, Knaresborough, Helmsley, Thirsk, Hexham, Alnwick.

Have looked on the campsite search but it's not always apparent if the sites have say a nearby bus stop.

If anybody can recommend sites that might fit the criteria we'd be really grateful

Hi Ratty,

thanks for that wasn't being lazy have already used the search facility but not all campsites are listed in the review section was hoping somebody knew of a hidden gem. Also the public transport needs to be within safe walking distance i.e. not on small winding country roads with no path, the bus stop may be within a mile but can we get to it safely?
