Hi can anyone offer some recommendations.

We have just discovered that our favourite site is going to be shut this year - so we are looking for an alternative and just seem to be going around in circles looking for something - our demands are not that high we are looking for a clean site to take our caravan with the following

Lake/Loch/Seaside location

Play area for kids

Walking distance to town

We live in Central Scotland and would consider anything from Morayshire down to the lakes, but nothing the Scottish Borders area.

Any advice would be welcome

Derwent water cannot get any closer to the water , aslo five mins walk into keswick.

Luss and Milarochy Bay are fantastic but you would need to drive for 5 mins to get to town. The Forest c&CC site at Aberfoyle is right on the river but again a short drive to town.

Keswick C & CC site.    Meets all your criteria, however the toilet blocks are dated but they are clean.

Site prone to flooding, but exceptional views as right on the lake side and short walk into Keswick itself.

Very popular so you would need to book early.
