Sadly, Easter is not a cheap time and it depends on your definition of cheap!!
It's classed as peak season at most sites and the majority will have a minimum stay requirement of 3 or 4 nights too.

Are you a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club?
They organise a lot of rallies over the holidays which offer good value camping with entertainment of some sort usually organised.
Also you could book onto a CS (a small, basic site, some with EHU but usually no other facilities except CPD and fresh water tap) for around £8-£10 per unit per night.

As Easter is a peak time and the schools are off, many sites will be fully booked now but have a look here to check sites that have availability:

We really like Cote Ghyll at Osmotherley and Thorpe Farm, just off the A66.
Not what you'd call cheap, but great for kids and Cote Ghyll has wonderful, warm clean wash blocks.
