I looked at going to Knight Stainforth but decided on Silloth House go in May and must say so far they have been brill Helen owner text me only a few days ago to make sure I was still planning on going, which I thought was really nice.

we have been and we didn,t like it and would not go again. We had a non EHU pitch and you could pitch where you wanted. We ended up being surrounded by a group pf eight who had no regard for anyone else but themselves. Probably not the fault of the campsite but they didn,t patrol at night. I did add a review so you could read if you wanted.
i have read lots of positive reviews so we may just have had a bad experience.

Sounds like you had a bit of bad luck there!!
We are going in August and cant wait. Lots of great reviews on this site which made up our minds to go

We have been a good few times, have never had a negative experience there. The site always feels very secure and friendly. It is a beautiful site with stunning views. There are lots of good places to walk around the area and further a field some good days out and places to visit.
The prices do seem to have been hiked up quite a bit this last year, I guess it is a sign of the times at the moment though.

If you don't like the sound of running water, don't go there. My mate said it made him want to pee all night. Nothing at all to do with the beer consumed...
