Hi, we are planning to go there in April & was wondering if anyone could recommend a campsite for tents close by.

We like places that have lots of pitches & also be able to use a BBQ & fire pit. Level pitches would also be advantage.
Also ideally would like to be near a town to walk to but if not a car journey is fine.

Here is a list of campsites within the area. Ashdene Farm is the nearest but Tameview is probably the cheapest. Willows Farm is probably the furthest away but is one of the best which also has electric hook up too for about £2.50 per night.

Thanks for the replies. Sadly Drayton's own campsite is quite expensive being non members to cc&c.

Need to be a site that includes tents & non cc&c owned because of the non memeber charges.

Found a few but still thinking which one to go for. Looking for a large area, so there will be more chance it isn't fully booked.

Also, I know on most campsite rules it can read "No Fires" but does that mean no BBQs & Firepits?

'No Fires' wouldn't normally mean you couldn't use a barbecue, but might well mean that Fire Pits were not allowed. I would certainly check with the site it that is important to you.
