The C&C club site at Crockernwell (Dartmoor Barley Meadow) is worth a look, it's about six miles from the city.  Also if you fancy a quiet site in a nice stting Lydford Caravan & Camping park is great - although it is 30 miles west of Exeter

By the way have you managed to get a ticket?  We are likely to be definitely down by your visit so good luck in getting that automatic promotion place.

If you're in a caravan - Minnows CC site near Tiverton is easy access into Exeter. 20 minutes by car or Tiverton Parkway rail station is a very short distance from Minnows campsite if you wanted to catch the train.
