Hi
Pleeeease, can anyone recommend where we can hire a large (8berth) static caravan for a weekend in August, anywhere between Cornwall and North Yorkshire (ie devon, dorset, wyevalley, cotswolds, peak district). We are 2 families returning from a holiday in Cornwall on friday 3rd august and want to break our journey with 2 nights in a caravan/lodge etc, but understandably it is very difficult to get a short let at the this time of year.
We have thought about taking our own tents, but haven't got enough room in car for all our camping kit:-(.
Any help appreciated.

Slightly different but what about a wigwam? They do let them out on a nightly basis and there are 2 parks on your way home to Yorkshire. One at the Forest of Dean and one at Worcester. See here,

I'd very much doubt you'd find an 8 berth static in Devon or Dorset in August for one night as they only do weekly lets. Failing that, what about a travelodge?

We are in Somerset and do not have a minimum number of nights at any time of year and do have 8 berth statics for hire.
