Hi Everyone.

My boyfriend and I are hoping to go away soon and wondered if anyone could recommend any good camp sites with lots to do around it. Were not big on walking but like visiting places. We live near Nottingham so anywhere an hour or two around there would be perfect. We're not a member of any clubs either so it would need to be one that accepts us. Thanks for your help. :-)

Suggest North Yorkshire. Around the Harrogate, Knaresborough area. Nice market towns to explore and some terrific scenery. You can do that in under 2 hours. I've done Harrogate in 1hr 50mins from just east of Nottingham.

Yes some fab sites in North Yorkshire, eg: Vale of Pickering , Middlewood Farm at Robin Hoods Bay, both nice and not far from beaches, Whitby, Scarborough, Filey, North Yorkshire Moors, Countryside, Abbeys, all of these in the area. I presume you have a tent. Do you want entertainment or just campsite with basic facilities.

Lots of sites to chose from.

try Otley, if you like real ale this is the place to be, also good indian restaurants, we have about 5 now and for a small market town we have everything, google Otley, also regular buaes into Leeds if you want a great night out, i am a bit predudiced as I live there J xx
