after a fantastic weekend at billing aquadrome (northampton) i was wondering where in the north west is nice? we have gone down south a few times as my mum has a (petrol) motor home so its expensive to come all the way up here in it, all this wkend my parents have been in our folding camper as its so spacious (and my 4.5yr old wanted nanny to sleep in his new camper) the only thing the motorhome got used for is my dad sleeping in it but as we can make the table into a 3rd bed its pointless them wasting there petrol to come up here (they may as well bring the car and camp in with us) sorry all that just to ask wheres nice in N.W lol

depends what you call nice ,plenty of places in wales and anglsey ,mind you as i overlook the dee estuary at home we tend to go elsewhere ,east yorkshire is lovely .best thing to do is use the camp site search on this website ,its one of the best i have found .
All of it! Cheshire is rolling countryside with hills round the edges, pretty villages and lots of cows which means some darn good ice cream. North Wales is mountains and some fabulous coast, waterfalls, forests and amazing views. I am loathe to say how nice bits of Lancashire are because they're one of the nation's best kept secrets but the areas around pendle hill, forest of bowland and trough of bowland are hard to beat for sheer wonderful scenery and countryside with lots of great pubs. Beyond that is the lake district about which the poets and wainwright said it all. No amount of tourists and coaches can diminish its wonder, if you prefer to be away from the 'madding crowds' (yes, I know he was on about the south!) try Eskdale, Ullswater and Bassenthwaite lake.
There are campsites all over all of it. If you like peace and quiet and are a member of either of the big clubs some of their CS/CLs will take you right back to nature. Hope that helps a bit!.
------------- August - Carsington Water CC Site. Don't know where else yet - only picking up the caravan on Friday!
