i'm looking for a campsite in kempston near bedford, the only one that i've found nearby is only for mobile homes and caravans we need to camp with a tent. anyone been to a nice site near bedford and that's suitable to bring young children too?

It might be a bit far, but just the other side of Dunstable is Town Farm http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=8236 which is perfect for children and tents. We spent a weekend there last August and it was delightful. There's a decent play area, outside washbasins (and inside ones) hot showers, beautiful scenery, music in the grain silo ... and chickens:)
Charles the farmer is very keen on getting it right and was very friendly & helpful. They sell eggs, too.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
