Hi everyone, we are holidaying for the first time at fforest fields in late July, is it true that it's always raining in this part of Wales. we've just been to Silloth, it was a complete washout, so I'm a bit worried.

Although we have never been to that campsite we have been to that area many times and had some fantastic weather. I think everywhere is a bit of a washout at the moment.

If you're worried about rain, p0kerm0n, I'd suggest you try a site a little further south than Fforest Fields. Here's a good one:

You can never tell. Last weekend was lovely up here in usually rainy Scotland whereas it was rainy down south. The British weather is an unpredictable beast.

We have stayed in that area of Wales and nearby a number of times. We have had torrential rain but also a glorious 5 days of full sun. Its like the rest of the UK really, you never can tell! Fforest Fields is a very nice campsite.

Yes, I'm afraid so.  It rains 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week and about 45 weeks of the year (it snows for the other 7).

Well yes it does rain sometimes - we have just got back and not been a great week but we have had lovely weather when been before. Went last year end of July and it was gorgeous weather.  It really is a lovely site in beautiful weather. No guarantees anywhere in UK, so I've got fingers crossed for Dorset in July!
