We are looking to meet up with friends approx half way between Manchester and London.

Could anyone recommend anywhere?

We have kids between 5 and 9, but are looking for something basic/rremote/scenic. Possibly a farm.

We would like to be able to light a fire, but not essential.

Shropshire is a bit off the route, Warwickshire is better. There is a site at the racecourse in Stratford upon Avon, not at all remote of course but might make a good base? or north Cotswolds around Chipping Campden?
