Hi all, any advice greatly appreciated, as we are new to camping!
We want to take our tent (bargain outwell bear lake we bought on e-bay) to Cornwall the last two weeks in August. We go every year to see relatives, but haven't camped there yet. We would like to be near a beach to keep our son and daughter occupied (aged 6 and 8) we also have a 14 week old pup, so would need the beach to be dog friendly! Does anyone have any ideas? Also a farm base would be nice, if they would except dogs. We don't want anything to "full on", but would need loos/shower/toilet, a shop would also be nice.
Have been looking on the internet, but can't seem to find anything, apart from Arthur's field which is fully booked- maybe I've left it too late to find anywhere. Many, many thanks for your time, we really need a nice break this year!!
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Tollgate Farm, Perranporth is a family friendly site near to a beach which accepts dogs.
Trying to find a beach which is dog friendly during the Summer is quite hard in Cornwall so it might pay you to find out which beaches allow dogs first and then base your search around that.

Hi. You could do worse than to look here Penvose Farm http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=3791 . We were there for a fortnight at the end of May going into June and would highly recommend it. It's a farm, they take dogs and have decent facilities blocks which have all the essentials. For the time of year you're talking about it'd cost £22 per night (plus the dog at £1). Watergate Bay beach is only a few minutes away in the car but there are also loads of other dog friendly beaches dotted all up and down that coast - just beware of the beach parking charges - a lot of them are private and ludicrously expensive. You don't say which area of Cornwall your relatives are in, how important is it to be within a relatively short travelling distance? I always find the miles rack up [retty quick when I go there, although I like the Newquay area as a base as you can get to most places in Cornwall in little more than an hour from there...</SPAN>
