It's the Buxton Gilbert and Sullivan festival 28th July to 18th August, lots of stuff going on in the town.

We stayed there last year & we're going back for a weekend in September. Its a lovely site. Not far from shops & yet feels like you're in the country.

Like this site very much, nice walk into Buxton accross field over the top and then through the park. Wetherspoons just as you go into Buxton if your 'pub' people.
Nice circullar walk in the fields around the site from the tent field with lovely views.

If your into walking theres loads in and around the area.

You will enjoy it I'm sure.
