Hi, I'm after a family friendly site which accepts groups (4 families) in the Skegness area (we don't mind a bit of a drive into Skegness, probably half hourish max). Prefer a site that is not too commercial, park to keep the LO entertained though and must have EHU for tents! That's it hope I'm not asking for too much!

We always stay at Butlins, but surrounding that area are tons and tons of campsites. Try Ingoldmells on the search facility as I'm sure you will find one that is appropriate. :)
Try skegness water leisure park. We've just spent a really enjoyable 5 days there. There's loads of room if there are a few families going tha want to camp together. Its about a 10 min drive into Skegness.
I second Skegness Water Leisure Park. We have been there twice already and are going back in two weeks to spend 14 nights there. It`s a large site, but there is always plenty of space and although it does have entertainment on site in the Barn Inn, we have never been disturbed by it, as we stay on a EHU pitch down near the water ski lake.
My `kids` are 19 and 17 now so we don`t need a play park, but I think there is one near the Barn Innhttp://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=1676.
Plenty to see and do in the area for all ages, short drive into Skegness itself (about 10 mins) and regular buses go from the main road just down the lane from site. Good chippy on the corner near the main road as well, chip portions are HUGE though, you have been warned. We bought four one night and could have fed half the site with what was left, we didn`t realise they were so generous with portion sizes
I would point out that the site has two lakes, so make sure the kids know not to go near them and keep an eye on really little ones, I`m sure you would anyway

Thanks very much for the recommendations, it looks good and will be running it past the others in the group, will have to move quick though as I have tried to check availability online and already they have no availability to book online for bank hol, hope I haven't left it too late!, booking over the phone only now, thanks again!
Another vote to skegness water leisure park. We had a great stay here, its on a little road opposite Butlins fairground. Massive park, loads of space, well maintained. Toilets and showers toasty warm with underfloor heating and cleaned regularly. Great park for the children, nice pub and a big hill the kids love playing on :)

We have been to Skeggy three times, four after this visit next week and we always go to Skegness Water Leisure Park, it just ticks all the boxes for us. First time of taking our new dog this year, so will leave another review, but it speaks volumes we will have visited this site three times after this next time and would still go back to the same site again.
Looks like Water Leisure Park then! Can't get better than recommendations from here, we booked our last trip which was only last week at Wolds Way nr Malton on the strength of a post on here, it was fab one of the best camping trips so far....thanks again!
yep waterleisure park is brill ..esp if large group you can pitch round in a circle and have a large area in the middle...we have been a few times but fancy a diff place but not sure wot site to pic...will prob go back to there
Well after much deliberation we are going back to Kirkstead nr Mablethorpe, decided we wanted a cheaper 'do' this time after going away twice in the last month or so, thought if we are away from the hustle we would have more chance of that lol, hoping for good weather so we can relax at the site, order is in for the sun!
Ps water leisure park is definitely on the must visit sites, along with a few others!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
