Just wanted to pick your brains. I know it is a personal preference but which site would you choose out of the CC sites - Putts Corner, Sidmouth or Crossways, Weymouth as I just cannot decide they all seem to have different things going for them.
Look forward to hearing your view points ........

We've stayed at Putts Corner a couple of times, most recently just last month. OK, it was only a 1 night stop-over on the way home but it's a lovely quiet, secluded site. Great pub within 10/15 minute stroll and you get a discount with the CC too! Nothing else within walking distance but plenty within easy reach if you have a car. Nice wardens, large pitches, clean facilities, dog walk - what more do you want??!!
Can't comment on Crossways but thought this might help anyway.

Thanks very much Kernow Camper, sounds pretty good to me.
Piglet - Hoping to go in a couple of weeks - both sites have availability at the moment so just wondered which one to go for.
There is just the two of us and a happy teenager LOL and the dog (who is happy with anything green!) so was hoping for an averagly quiet site with good pitches hopefully not too close to each other (wouldnt want to upset others when the teenager is "talking" to his xbox!), whilst the rest of us enjoy the outdoor life.
Thanks again.

OK, Folk Week in Sidmouth will have finished (it's from tomorrow) and the Olympic Sailing in Weymouth will have finished. The Olympic venues might be interesting to see in Weymouth though.
I'm not familiar with either of the sites but with a teen Weymouth will be the bigger town with a bit more to do for the teen, it's also a bit closer to the New Forest and busier areas if that floats your boat. Weymouth have a carnival as well sometime in August, might be worth checking when that is.
Sidmouth is a lovely town though, some nice shops and good watersports opportunities if your teen is into that.
What activities are you looking for, the coast along from Sidmouth has some great walks, you're close to Lyme Regis, the Donkey Sanctuary is nice and you're not far from Exeter.
