Were off to Callow Top soon but due to limited pitches left i would imagine we won't get the best but not to worry hope the weather isnt too bad. The reviews seem pretty good even though i prefer quieter parks it looks nice. Has anyone else been? how far are the pitches from the toilets as i hate having to treck miles for the loo so i may have to take a bucket for number ones... Does anyone else do this? should i fill the bucket with cat litter as i have heard before? looking forward to trying my new tent out properly instead of a test pitch too :D

We stayed in the cottage in April, but had a nosey around while we were there. Nice site each pitch is marked out. depending where your pitch is you may have a trek to the toilets. Theres a main block by the cafe/pub and another block in one of the tent fields.
As for a loo, a bucket with lid is a must, we don't use cat litter though as OH flushes the wee down the toilet, wipes with toilet paper, adds a little flora disinfectant and its ready for the next night. I think the cat litter option is when there are no toilets. 20 minute trek into Ashbourne, cafe food good, pub food good, good shop too.
