Just spent a very pleasant 5 days at Colburn Grange Farm CL at Catterick Garrison. The beauty of this site is that it is so convenient, just 1 minutes off the A1. It is a very pleasant, flat site with hook ups , toilet and shower. Situated on the road to Catterick Garrison, there are 3 supermarkets plus shope, pubs etc all within a mile of the site. Fees were £11 including elecricity which seemed very reasonable and the owner was friendlya nd helpful.
We used the site as a base for a walking holiday in the Yorkshire Dales, Richmond is just 4 miles away, Reeth and Leyburn 10 so it was easy to get to the Dales without towing the caravan,. We also took the opportunity to tour Cleveland and discovered hidden delights at Hutton Rudby, Stokesley, Kirkby in Cleveland and at Osmotherley whose stone houses had teh feel of the Cotswolds about them.
I would heartily recommend Colburn Grange to anyone looking for a base from which to enjoy the Dales , without having to tow on the winding roads up there.
