Moor End Farm is really nice. Very close to the River so you can either walk or cycle into York. Riverboat and pub very close too.

Cherry Tree Cottage at Nether poppleton is a lovely CL. There are no toilet / shower facilities but if you are willing to use your own and only want EHU then you can't beat it. Lovely flat field, friendly owners and free range eggs to buy! It is just off the York ring road and there is a bus service into York just up the road.

We're booked in there next weekend...
Can I just ask, what's the walk-in along river like?...is it a decent(ish) path or are your trudging through mud and undergrowth?

the path is a proper path along the river bank,it takes you past rowntree park and the caravan club site,if you are walking beware of the cycles as the path is well used.the bus into york stops 50 yards from site ,on the way back some drivers drop you off at the site entrance.
