Hi,

My friend is getting married next year and we had planned to go to Glastonbury for his stag weekend. Unfortunately we were some of the unlucky ones and didn't manage to get tickets.

We are still considering going camping but would like to know if anyone recommends a camp site that caters to a group of around 15 late 20's guys.

We will most certainly be drinking and making a reasonable amount of noise so a site that is geared more towards families wouldn't be ideal as we don't want to spoil anyone else's camping trip.

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Oh...we've considered the ones in Newquay but we're mainly based in Lincolnshire and this may be a bit too far to travel.

Thanks in advance.

Whilst I appreciate your good intent, your needs in this instance are pretty much exactly what virtually every site just does not want.

The only positive suggestion I can make is to find a site with a Rally Field that is slightly separate from main pitching area and see if you can book whole field.

I appreciate that. But I am aware of sites that completely cater to 18-30 type groups of adults looking for a party weekend.

I'm not expecting to find a nice tranquil camp site by a lake and for them to allow a bunch of lads on a lads weekend camp there. Just recommendations.

I should point out that I'm 32 and the majority of people going are all late 20's early 30's professionals. But we Just want to let our hair down and have a drink and a good time without having to worry about keeping the noise down after 9pm.

I'm sure there are some half decent camp sites out there somewhere that can accommodate us.

Ian, I'm not judging you, as I said, "..I appreciate your good intent..." and it sounds like a good time to me!

If you look at UKCS Specialized Search there is no entry for 18-30 type groupe sites. Therefore, if UKCS don't list them, you might be hard pushed to find one.

The only thing I can suggest is perhaps the "Pubs with Campsites" category.

There are quite a few sites that will cater for you and encourage stag parties etc. Use the search facility for 'Group' camping and I will have a quick look too for you.

Here are the search results for 'Group'

Or perhaps look for sites with only a few pitches, and see if you can book all the pitches for the weekend, then you would have the site for yourself.

Cheers Ratty

Thanks for all the info guys, really appreciate it.

Hopefully we can find somewhere small and get the entire site. That way there is no risk of us annoying anyone.

A couple of the lads are farmers and so can drink for england. :)
