I would be grateful if anyone could recommend a site that is either on or very near to a beach in Norfolk. Would like somewhere central to things to do (when not at the beach), playpark/games room on site for the kids.
Have looked at a few recommendations and like the look of Deers Glade and Forest Park.

Two spring to mind....Searles at Hunstanton- plenty to do there or Pinewoods at Wells Next To The Sea, 2 minutes walk to probably the finest beach in Norfolk. A little train transports you into town.------------- A Fart is only Natures Ringtone

What do you require as basics, do you have a caravan? If you have a caravan then the CC CL called Buttercup meadow listed under North Walsham in the CC book is brilliant. It is 150yds along a track to a nice sandy beach, there is a playing field adjacent to the site that is used on one night a week by a local childrens club for a games night but is available for whatever your kids want for the rest of the time. It is though only a basic site just a tap and waste disposal. Lovely place all the same.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

Thank you for your responses - Pinewoods looks good till I read the reviews about the shower block so that has put me off a bit.
We need the facitlities as we are tenters so unfortunately Buttercup Meadow is out for us.
Thank you for your responses

If you would like to go just into Suffolk a good site is Heathland Beach caravan park Kessingland
It is near the beach a local for Lowestoft, Gt Yarmouth and the broads.

Also have a look at Seacroft at Cromer. We have had a few good holidays there and the kids love the place.

We went to Hunstanton but not to Searles and I have to say I was disappointed by the beach.

You could also try here - direct access to a sandy beach, with plenty for the kids to do.------------- Cheers

Thank you for your suggestions - Healthlands looks lovely but unfortunately will not be booking as you have to book Saturday - Saturday and unfortunately we are unable to go till the Monday and need to return 11 nights later on the Thursday and also I cannot understand why they charge £5 more per night for a tent than a caravan.

Seacroft CC site Cromer is good as it has a large camping field. There is an outdoor heated pool which is great for children. We love it there.
