remember coming home from our first cornish hol in truro about 30 years ago.

saturday morming wife saying we'd better be setting off. me sayng it's ok we'll be home in yorkshire for teatime.

remember heading for the a30 , very little traffic. Then argggggggggg we got to the biggest never ending traffic jam in the world.

didn't get home for suppertime.

that traffic jam put me off going back to cornwall for 26 years. went back to penzance

years ago. a30 still a traffic jam. won't be rushing back.

Agree.

I'm just across the border & the M5 is near our village.  Every saturday in Summer the M5 is like a car park.  Why people decide to drive down & back on a Saturday lunchtime thinking it will be ok is beyond me.

some people use theA38 from exeter to bodmin and miss the queue at temple
