Thanks ficklejade for all your help.  I hope your mum is better and you managed your Red Cross training, it all sounds very hectic at your end.  We're on the Island Sunday - Thursday.

Will be back to you via the admin who have kindly said they'd pass message on with a list of ideas and contacts shortly. Helpful to know days as can put that on message. Basically sending you websites as you can then sort out what you fancy - it's your holiday! Couple more days as have Mum having checks - she ain't brilliant but nor am I   -difficult to deal with!

I agree with everyone else about The Shielings. We spent a couple of nights there in a hired motor home in February. The campsite was actually closed for winter, but the warden let us pitch with EHU and use the water and chemical disposal, very nice gesture. The site has glorious views and we were able to sit in the cab of the motor home and watch otters in the bay every morning from our pitch. There is also a sea eagle that visits regularly. Craignure had everything we needed. I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time
