We are keen to camp regularly. Having only been to Devon and Cornwall, we would like to create a bucket list! What is on your list and where can you recommend for a young family? We like beautiful scenery and being able to explore!
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

Scottish Highlands - like nowhere else in the UK for me. Have seen Golden eagles, otters and seals at close range. Plus so much scenery and off the beaten track you can have a little piece of it to yourself with no crowds.
Wales all of it . There's something for every one ! Scotland's west coast , Northumberland , Lake district , Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire , Peak District , Norfolk and every were in between . The UK is a very varied and the more you look the more there is to see and do .

There are so many different counties in the UK alone, and each one will offer you different things. Make a list of various things - ie how far you want to travel for say a weekend & how far for a week! Then see whats in that distance.
What would really help is knowing where your located in the country ? We live on the edge of the peak district but have explored all the areas I've mentioned. If you like Cornwall you'll love the Llyn north Wales or Penbrokshire
Welcome to the forum by the way
Too many people think that Scotland only has a West coast! but don't forget the North, Orkney & Shetland islands, The Cairngorms, the East coast, Dumfries & Galloway and the borders !

I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.

Thanks for all your comments! We are from the midlands and are willing to drive 4 hours max at the moment due to hard to please 1yr old! Definitely have Peak and Lake District on our list. We have to go away at the last minute all the time due to job commitments so I am finding sites and places in advance in preparation!! I am keen to go visit wales soon! :)
Castle Farm campsite Llangollen . Great for a long week end . And not far from the midlands .
Capt lightning I agree with you but as an introduction the west coast is stunning !
