Hi there

My family and my friends family are looking at getting away in next month or so- we live in Leeds so want something within 60-90 minutes.

Thing is- he has a caravan and we have a tent (an Outwell Virginia with extension). Does anyone know of a good campsite where we can be next to each other as I know that's not always feasible.

As we'll be with young kids one that's good for them would be ideal

Hutton-le-Hole is one of our favourites. North York Moors National Park, handy for the coast too, one big field where everybody goes. No playground though.

Woodhouse Farm, Winksley, Ripon would be spot on. Playground, Caravans and Tents, good washing/shower facilities, small play area, bar, shop and about 30/40 mins away.

Should have no problems of caravan and tent ext to each other, they have a small play area for the kids and a pub right on the doorstep.

We were at Sleningford mill caravan and campsite last weekend, there were some families pitched together one with a caravan and one with a large outwell. It was lovely and peaceful. Not sure how the facilities would cope if it was very busy though.
