Carsington Water is a very pretty area with several campsites to choose from, there are shops in various directions from the sites, either in Hulland village, Hogniston, Wirksworth, or Ashbourne, all well worth a visit, with the tourist attractions of Matlock Bath within easy reach via either public transport, or walking/cycling the High peak trail.
The nearest CC site is Blackwell Plantation, which is fairly central to all the villages and small towns, whilst the nearest C&CC site is the Ashbourne site.
