My daughter, husband and 4 children ages, 1yr 4yrs 10yrs and 14yrs, are looking to go camping in august and is looking for a site with lots of facilities that wont break the bank, ...can anyone offer any suggestions please.?

You could try Shell Island, been a few times. They have miles off safe sandy beach to play on, shop, cafe, laundrette, kiddy play area, pub.
