Hi all, does anyone know of sites (any type considered apart from those with a clubhouse and entertainment) that don't insist on a full 3 nights stay as a minimum over a bank hols? Anywhere in the north or midlands would be fab.
Thanks.

CC sites at Dockray meadow ( lake district ), Englethwaite Hall ( Carlisle ), Mildenhall, Nunnykirk (Northumberland ), Chapel Lane, High Onn, Utoxeter racecourse (all west midlands ), North Yorks CC site, plus a lot of vacancies in Scotland, and more places in the west country and otrher parts of the South of England.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
We get very frustrated at B/H wkends. It's not often o/h gets Saturdays off work, especially on B/H, so the minimum three night stay (some are more!) is no good for us. This year, we stayed at York Meadows during the first May B/H wkend, then at Lower Greenhill for the second B/H wkend in May. Left reviews for both sites

I always encounter this problem. I understand the campsites need for the minimum stage but again I work on saturdays so the bank holidays are really the only time I can go without eating into my annual leave. I usually book for the minimum and 'swallow' the cost, although not ideal!
If you would come up as far as Scotland it isn't a bank holiday up here so should have a problem with minimum stay requirements. With it not being a holiday and the kids being back at school it should be quieter too.
