We are a group of about 30 adults and 25 children. We are looking for a camp site with a 'party barn'. For the last three years we have used Llyn Gwynant, which has been ideal location wise but is now very dear indeed, and quite draconian about the de-camping times. We have very specific needs so I hope the experts here can help. We need a camp site that we can weekend hire exclusive use of. We need a 'barn' we can have a party in with no specified curfew. The barn would ideally have kitchen facilities as we like to cook a group meal for one night. All this need to be within two hours drive of South Manchester. I know this is a tricky one but I can't believe that Llyn Gwynant is the only site around that offers this. Here's hoping you can help.

Have a look at Lowther Hill Farm at High Bentham.
Should just about fit your 2hr from Manchester criteria. Its a few years since we have been but I remember there was a rally field separate from the caravan site and an barn for hire.
Dont think it had a kitchen area though, you may need to get the BBQ's out !
Fairly basic site but the woman who owned it was lovely and the views over towards Ingleborough were to die for.

We recently had a group of metal detectors, they used our barn and I lent them our gas bbq. Why not ring a few farm sites and enquire, you could get a couple of the party tents otherwise.
