Me and Mr campervan want to head off into the green paradise now that the BH rush is over.
Me and Mr campervan prefer sites that are quiet, uncrowded, spacious and basic. Field. Grass. Tap and portaloo is quite adequate. Far away from civilisation.
Me and Mr campervan really doesn't care for CC, C&CC, on site pub, club shop, swimming pool, restaurant, evening entertainment, clowns, blah blah.
Looking at anywhere in the SW direction, Somerset, Wiltshire, North Devon.
Had a proper go at the map and search but you can't filter OUT certain excessive amenities that 1 man and his campervan simply do not care for.
Yes I know they are out there as I've been to them.

They have acres of farmland walks, within easy access of all North Devon delights (Clovelly is only 3 miles away) and also close to the fantastic coast of Bude too. Owner has included some pics on their UKCS write up on here.
We recently went to 2 nice CLs, Lumburn Court near Tavistock (ok, South Devon but easy enough to get to, has a loo and shower), and Waterwells Farm near Winchester in Hampshire, has ehu but no other facilities apart from CWD. £12 and £11 per night respectively. Both have email addresses and will reply promptly. Oh, and 2 more CLs we liked - Thornhills Farm at Othery, near Bridgwater, Somerset and Peterborough Lodge near Chippenham, Wiltshire.
http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=9993 - very basic site (tap and a toilet) near Marlborough in Wiltshire. Very quiet, long way off the road - choice of camping near farm buildings or in field behind. If the latter you can have a campfire. We went one weekend in August and we were the only people in the field. Lovely!

Forgot to say about a few sites in the Exmoor area that may suit:
Doone Valley (Malmsmead) - basic site next to river, stunning scenery
Cloud Farm, Oare - near the above site but very expensive, again scenic
Westermill Farm, Exford - again rural setting, farm based site
Pool Bridge Campsite, Near Porlock - steep access so you might want to check if your camper van will make it there. Basic site, you cannot book, site borders stream in deep valley.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
