Can I recommend Irton House near Keswick it has a Static caravan for hire and several tourer pitches with all amenities. It is a lovely quiet site and allows dogs, when you see the view you will not want to go home...If you want to follow this up I can get you the contact number.

Hi, No it's a listed site in the C &C Club only but I can heartily recommend it as we live around 15 miles form it and it is wonderful.Views are unequalled anywhere in the lake district...Honestly!

Thank you very much for your help. Is there anything to do walking distance ? Like a local pub shops etc . We are not really into these big sites with like clubs on site . I like these sort of sites where you can have a BBQ and a natter . I'm not a moaner lol. It's just that my kids are grown up now and I've done all that haven stuff
The nearest village is quite some distance, Bassenthwaite. There is a pub there which does great bar meals but too far to walk (2 or 3 miles possibly) The area is beautiful for walking and the site itself is very quiet and relaxing, no noisy clubs or late night rabble here, I can assure you.I think there are 5 or maybe 6 tourer pitches with some hedging / screening between them plus the static caravan. The atmosphere is very welcoming and as previously mentioned the views will take your breath away.
