I wonder if anyone can recommend a site for a large group, within 2.5 hours from St Albans, Hertfordshire?

We've just had a very successful weekend away at Henlow Bridge Lakes, Bedfordshire with 6 other families, all pitched in our own 'field' slightly away from the other pitches on site.

Is there anywhere that fits the bill as well as Henlow BL did?

We want to be able to have a fire, play music (not excessively loud or late!) and allow our children to run around and play together.

Thanks,

Georgina

Why not search for sites with a small rally field, that might suit the bill

Britchcombe farm near Uffington, they have several fields we normally take the western most one all to our selves, the top end is a nice sheltered bowl and if there are enough of you to have the field to yourselves you can make as much noise as you like..

You can have fires and they sell logs, they will come round each evening to see if you want any.

Loads of space right under the white horse. Pub about 20 mins walk away.

Facilities are fairly sparse, showers are 5 mins up the road at the farmhouse, field has portaloos. But a great basic site where the kids and dogs can roam free.
