Hi, looking to book two weeks July/August 2014 can travel anywhere in UK but need to keep my 14 year old son occupied. Lots to do in surrounding areas, we have bikes, like watersports, skateparks, adventure centres etc your suggestions would be greatly appreciated, many thanks!

have a look at manorafon farm in abergelli north wales, it is very near to the traffic free coastal cycle path that runs from prestatyn to ross on sea, there is a new water sports center next to the path at colwyn bay.
Long way to go, but Aviemore? watersports on Loch Morlich; mountain biking to whatever degree of skill your son has; hill walking (& funicular to the top of Cairngorm); various outdoor skills courses are run on local mountains; sleddog; osprey watching; steam train; treezone (zip wire stuff); wildlife park (has a polar bear, if I recall); and more.
