Hi there just moved from a motor home to a caravan, can anyone give me some advice or info on what sites let you put your caravan on all year round and also stay there for holiday breaks, area I am looking for is North Yorkshire . How do I go about with insurance ? And does any one recomended any one in particular .

Hi dondon, We're on a lovely site in Tunstall, near Catterick. Mainly seasonal (on pitch all year) the owner has just expended so may have space. Most sites are fully booked by now. There are approx 100 seasonal pitches and 7 for tourers. There is a small play area for children, the toilets/showers are immaculate and the only entertainment is a fishing pond and tennis court so it really is a relaxing place. There is a pub in the village (about a 15 minute walk), shops are plentiful in Catterick garrison with an Aldi, Tesco, Greggs, Pound Stretcher plus many others and Lidls not far. Richmond, Leyburn and Bedale are all pretty close and of course the Sunday market at Catterick Garrison. If it's peace and quiet you want give Andrew a call, you'll find the details in the search section. One other thing, you can always pull off for a holiday away whenever you want.

Hi, this years fees are £1450 which includes winter. If i remember rightly (my paper work is at the caravan) it is £1200 for summer season, March til October, and £250 for the winter. It really is a lovely site and would be worth a look. It is Highfield Farm and the owner is Andrew Walker. Family run with the owners living on site, it's well worth a visit.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
