Last summer four of us from work had a ladies camping trip. Just one night locally but we had a whale of a time. This year we are planning a weekend. We would like to find a site in the dales where we can walk during the day and walk to a decent Pub with food in the evening, we would also like a decent toilet/shower block. I am going to go and look on the campsite search but if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them

Masons at Appletreewick, Bainbridge Ings at Hawes, would say Holme Farm at Horton but loos might not be as good as you want! Obviously avoid le Tour weekend as road closures round here will be chaos.

Another vote for Knight Stainforth. We stayed here for a week last summer and loved it. Lovely walk along by the river brings you to the village with a choice of two really good pubs serving delicious food.

Bainbridge Ings is great site; nice views and feels really spacious as pitches are round the perimeter, leaving center of field empty. It's a short walk into Hawes with lots of pubs, restaurants, cafes etc. Lovely walks on doorstep and Wensleydale cheese factory is a bonus. Facilities are fine and very clean. Masons in Appletreewick has a great location but is a very big site and can get very very busy (& noisy) at peak times and tents are packed in, i avoid it then for that reason.

I would avoid it like the plague. Vans and tents within 6 feet of each other or nearer. BBQ,s near to canvas...
Can be VERY noisy especially with people wandering back from pub.
