We were hoping to get away this weekend but can't find a site that will accept a 2 night booking as its bank holiday! Not everyone gets Bank Holiday off from work grrrrrrrrrrr
ive now got 1 unhappy little boy who was very excited about going away!

Maybe we'll park the van on our drive instead :-(

It depends how far you want to travel.   Cc Nunnykirk has vacancies for every day over the bank holiday, a bit further away Cc edinburgh site has plenty of room.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

Don't know what areas you would consider but Derek at High Straggleton Farm might be able to fit you in.  A working farm, it's a basic site between Whitby and Sandsend.  Distance to beach is walkable, amenities have improved each year we have been but it doesn't suit everybody, check out the reviews. Good luck. Denise.

Bank Holiday is no problem up here! I'm off in a group of 3 motorhomes and 1 tent at Sandyhills Bay, west of Dumfries and I know from last year at the same time that there'll be plenty of hook-ups left. Cracking location for a wee boy - sandy beach within a hop skip & jump. 70 miles for us, 100 miles for you...
