We are travelling north, from Kent to the Lake District, and are planning on towing our caravan, but stopping en route, for one night there, and one night back.
Our proposed route will take us onto the M1 then onto the M6, and taking the (relatively new!) tool road.
Does any of you guys know a suitable caravan site that is NORTH of the M6 toll road (somewhere in the Stafford area, and easy to get to from the M6).
We are members of both the Caravan Club and Camping and Caravan Sites, but also, of course, willing to stay with at an Independent site, too.
Your help would be gratefully received !!

Dunston Heath Farm near J13 of the M6 or Park Farm CL about 3 miles from J14. Have stayed at both, both ok for a night.

There are several, and it is, but I think either of Mrs Bonce's suggestions would be easier to get to.

Chapel lane caravan club -not north of toll but only 10 mins NEC -we used this from Portsmouth to Scotland also used Kingsbury water park CC site -just off toll road

We considered Cannock Chase but the sites seem to have very difficult access.

If you leave and rejoin the toll section of the M6 then you have to pay twice, hence my suggestions.

There is also a site called Yatehouse Farm close to Middlewich and M6.

I have never stayed there but drive past Strawberry wood (as above) and Yatehouse Farm every day. Both close to M6
