With us living in Cheshire, we have tended to camp a bit further a field, but we need to camp close to home at half term for various reasons and are looking for specific recommendations (have looked at the reviews but still unsure).
We are 3 families with 2 large tents and 1 small one, 6 kids and 2 young dogs between us. The dogs are well pub-trained, but still too young to be on a working farm. Ideally we wanted a site that is balanced or more geared up for tents (not a caravan site with a few tent pitches), large pitches, no EHU required, nearby dog-friendly pub and walks.
We are familiar with Lady Heyes and don't fancy it and are avoiding Delamere due to cases of Alabama Rot. We have camped at the Bickerton Poacher and will return, but would ideally have somewhere with more than 1 shower!
