I would suggest Caravan and Campsites within Snowdonia if you are seeking inland / mountain walks. Low or high level

Beddgelert - Cae Du
Betws Y Coed - Morrisons leisure site, Riverside
Llanrwst sites Bron Derw or Bodnant
Llanberis - Rhyd Y Galen, or Bryn Gloch ( sister site )
Bala, Pen y Bont

Thanks Anna, I will certainly add them to my list, we had been planning a weeks visit to Snowdonia in May but due to a family bereavement we had to postpone.
