Had a fantastic weekend at Plassey for our maiden voyage in our (new to us) van. The kids cried when we left, they met friends and were so upset to leave. The weather was fantastic, the people were lovely, the staff were so helpful and I felt myself relax from word go.
There was loads for the kids to do without it being an "in your face" Haven type site. Wished I could have stayed for a week, rather than having to go back to work!
Would love to season there, but with a 2006 model, our van is too old :0(

Nice model caravan Kirsten ;0) we have gone seasonal at the Plassey just this year its a great site near enough to us for short weekend breaks, the new play area is eagerly anticipated by the kids! 2006 doesn't seem that old does it but I think people who go seasonal stay there for years so I suppose there has to be a cut off somewhere. We visited several times each year for 5 yrs in tent, then van and now in our new van before we went seasonal so maybe something you could do later on, enjoy touring as we do miss that a bit x
I know, Fiona, we've done tenting for years but only this year upgraded to a caravan. Looking forward to travelling around, but of all the many many sites we have visited, this has to be the one that suits us best. We will continue to visit lots, I'm sure!

We find best of British sites do tend to suit us best these days. A good one is islawrfford in Barmouth is also great for a seaside break, similar standard to Plassey with low key entertainment and a nice family italian restaurant within walking distance.

What I loved John, was that when I rang about the fact that there were 6 of us, 4 children, (as regards the 5 person rule) you immediately said, "oh no, that's flexible, we don't mean you, we would love to have you at the Plassey!" I just can't wait to book again. Gt to try out the new Cadac too!
