I have been camping in the Lakes at the Gt Langdale Nat Trust campsite for years but once again got eaten alive by midges. I love this site, great showers, hot and cold water for washing up, stunning location where you can forget your car. However, I feel I need to try something new so was wondering what other sites in the Lakes would you recommend? Needs to be quiet and have good facilities and location of course!

Nat trust wasdale, c & cc club Eskdale, Fisher ground Eskdale or Turner Hall Farm, Seathwaite.

None of them are quiet in holidays but neither is Nat trust Langdale. All in fabulous locations and near a good pub.

Not telling you which is my favourite!!
