I appreciate the subject is quite blunt, and explanatory, but i'd really like some help from those in the know. This seemed like the place to come.
As a group of 4 youngish (25-30) guys we'd like to find a campsite similar to Shell Island(Llanbedr), where we visited recently. We're not after much really, being simple men-folk . However, we're looking for a coastal campsite where we can have a BBQ and Campfire whilst enjoying a sunny evening with a beer, as well as there being a local shop which would sell associated food/beer/charcoal/firewood.
Another reason for the post is we've seen many campsites which have huge lists of rules and regs(e.g. "Fires out and packed up, and no group talking after 11pm") We're not out to party, or be rowdy, or anything like that, but I would appreciate not having to worry about the time, or check my watch every 5 minutes to see if its bed time. One of the reasons we chose (and really enjoyed) Shell Island was that freedom.
Anyhow I've rambled on enough. Thanks for getting this far and still reading. Any help would be really appreciated.
Cheers
Dave
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Golden Sunset at Benllech on Anglesey is quite relaxed and is on the coast - quite a walk to the beach but fantastic views from the top field. Still not a patch on Shell Island though and we have tried many, so tbh we don't bother going anywhere else.
How about llanbadrig vineyard, Cemaes bay , Anglesey should be open this time of year, very easy going, great view. 15 mins to beach and town. Might have to ship in your own wood though. not sure what the water situation is there at the moment it was a bottled water only situation last time we were there due to a problem with the on site supply.
Just pitch up and the owner comes round and collects the money.
