Is there  a motorhome owning southerner who could offer suggestions as to a good CL or CS or small commercial site in the New Forest area? We are booked onto Shamba at Ringwood for a weekend in early september, and would like to extend our stay to the previous week in september. A nearby village or cycle routes would be useful. Thanks.

Black Knowle CC site is very good. Right in the forest and great for cycling.(Brockenhurst)

Hello,
If you are a member of the Caravan Club, you might try Green Pastures CL which is a club CL site and has reasonable reviews. I haven't tried it because we tend to go for larger sites. Check from ukcampsite website to ensure links work. Also, do a search on (say) Lymington for more sites. Good luck and welcome South!
