hi all going away in oct for week looking for a good site i have looked on camp site search . there are 2 of us no kids or pets . i am not a member of any clubs ether . please help my head is done in looking cheers

Can recommend Castlerigg Farm, Keswick. Views from the campsite are second to none and are of Derwentwater, Catbells, Blencathra, Skiddaw. Superb campsite, 5 minutes by car from Keswick or it is possible to walk into Keswick from the campsite. Can also access Walla Crag and Castlerigg stone circle from the campsite. Bus stop at the end of the Lane. Handy for Ambleside, Grasmere and Windermere.

May depend when you're going and how busy sites are. I tried to book at Castlerigg Farm as it has good reviews, tried half a dozen other places thereabouts, all full or owners too rude to return my calls. Ended up at High Bridge End Farm near Keswick, happy to recommend it. Cheap too...
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
