We're just thinking about a seasonal touring pitch for next Summer. Have never had one before.
Can anyone recommend a quiet, sheltered, dog-friendly, wi-fi enabled site, with seasonal hard-standings? It would need to be in easy travel time from Bristol and not too far inland from the coast.e.g. Somerset or Devon.
We don't need pools/entertainment/bar/games rooms, but a dog -friendly food-pub within walking distance would be a plus. I notice some sites have day kennelling for dogs, so that would be of interest too of anyone has come across some.
I've already searched on here, but the reviews don't really describe seasonal experience. Obviously, for long term use, we need to be extra careful in our choice.

Have a look at Ross Park near Ipplepen, Devon. It's quiet and very dog friendly. All hard standing too. They provide storage and then pull the vans out for their owners. Worth a look.
Hi. I don't really want a site where they store the van and pitch it for you. I'd really much rather have 'my own' pitch for the season and just turn up when I feel like it.
I really like the look of Stowford Farm Meadows, but it's 100 miles from us, on quite a slow route, so not ideal to pop down to on a Friday night after work.
Stowford farm, is great, they have percent pitches, and theye also do storage, and will pull a van out and out on a pitch, the pitches are massive to. It's always clean, and tidy, nice swimming pool, (small charge rouse it) there is two bars, both dog friendly, and there is quite a few local beaches that allow dogs on them all year around. Wi-fi is there, but will be improved on according to staff this winter.
