Cary and I have booked to attend a 40 year reunion at London Bible College, Northwood, HA6 2UW, where we met (arr) on and also, visit C's Dad in nearby Ruislip. The reunion is on 17 January. We had planned to stay at Wyatt's Covert CC Site, that's where we usually stay to visit C's Dad, but it's closed until March for refurbishment of the toilets.
Considering the area's closeness to London there seems to be an amazing lack of sites which are open at this time of year. Despite trawling the CC and CCC sites, the only ones that I've found with fairly good reviews, none outstanding, are:
(1) The Cock Inn, Sarratt near Watford
(2) Queen's Acre CS, near Windsor
(3) High Clere Farm Touring Park, Seer Green, Beanconsfield
Does anyone have any knowledge of the above sites or can offer any good alternatives in the area? We were hoping to stay for a few days either side of the weekend to make the journey down there more worthwhile.
All suggestions greatly received.

Hi Tim, I don't know if Thame is too far? There are a couple of CLs near there which sound nice, but I haven't been to them. One is very near the M40 by the looks of it, not sure if road noise would be a problem.
Thanks for that suggestion. Thame is a bit far as we will be travelling into North London several times I have, however, checked out your suggestion as a "backup" although only one of the Thame sites seems to be open at this time of year.
Anyone else, any more suggestions or comments on the sites I've identified would be useful.
Thanks everyone. We opted for Highclere Farm at Seer Green. It was accessible and close to the places we are visiting - Northwood and Ruislip.
We had a good journey down on Wednesday between the icy roads of Tuesday night and the high winds of Wed night.
The gales last night rocked the caravan but we are warm and snug inside.
Highclere Farm seems very expensive for a small gravelled pitch in a rather exposed field -£20 a night but the choice was very limited.
Even this site closes at the end of January for a month. I think that the Caravan Club have not really thought through closing Wyatt's Covert for several months. After the end of this month there will be virtually no sites in this area.

Hi Tim, glad you found somewhere. There is a new CS at Radnage near High Wycombe, did try to inform you but I assume you were preparing/travelling. It is high end price for a CS, £17-£18, but seems very nice; we mean to try it soon.

Do you have a link/name for the CS you mention at Radnage as we may be able to use it in future when visiting Father in Law.
