Does anyone know of any campsites in the Edinburgh area that have camping pods or similar?
We are looking at going in February but only for a night as my partners daughter lives there.
Will be for 2 adults and a 7 year old and just needed to sleep.

Thanks

Linwater has pods and they are relatively cheap. I don't think they open until March but there is no harm in phoning them, they are very helpful.

It is a lovely quiet site, we camp there regularly and have used the pods early in the year.

Mortonhall has pods. Good bus service outside the camp into city centre if you need it.

It'll be expensive anywhere for just the one night rather than 2 or 3. May also depend on how much of your own kit you have to bring vs. how much is supplied by the site. I'd check out the Travel Lodge / Premier Inn options - probably a similar cost and you get a heated en suite with fluffy towels rather than traipsing across wet grass to the toilet block in February with a youngster who's woken up in the night because they're cold.

Thanks all,we normally use the travelodge that's a few minutes from his ex's but due to it being valentines night it has rocketed to 99 pounds a night instead of the usual 30 pounds.

We used camping pods at drummohr for 2 nights new years eve a fee years back so that doesn't bother me plus my 7 year old doesn't use the loo in the night :)
